Tire Kutsan Vocational School of Ege University was founded in Tire district of İzmir under the name of Tire Vocational School. The name was changed to the Tire Kutsan Vocational School in 1998-1999 academic year.

Tire Kutsan Vocational School maintains to make educational, social and cultural contributions to Tire since its establishment. In addition to these duties, the mission of Tire Kutsan Vocational School is to educate manpower having adopted global values, having a high self-esteem, criticizing and having developed analytical thinking abilities.

Education activities started in 1994-1995 academic year with 'Computer Programming' and 'Food Technology' programs. In the 2002-2003 academic year, 'Accounting and Tax Applications' program (evening education) was opened. In the 2012-2013 academic year, Computer Programming and Food Technology programs were opened as evening education.

Education activities are done in 1 conference hall, 3 computer laboratories, 1 multi-purpose chemistry laboratory, 1 microbiology laboratory, 1 device laboratory. With the opening of Professor Dr. Refet SAYGILI Block, the number of classrooms increased to 9.

Computer programmer technicians graduated from the Vocational School can work for industrial companies, computer companies, software and technical support firms, internet service providers, banks, insurance companies and so on. Food Technology technicians can be employed in the quality control centers of food producing enterprises, environmental protection laboratories, as well as the Control Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, municipalities and Provincial Health Directorates. Accountants can work in the offices of certified public accountants, accounting departments of public and private enterprises, and audit firms.
